Vera Gärtner
Vera Gärtner (*1992) is a scenographer who observes, questions and re-imagines her immediate environment with a current focus on patriarchal structures in urban space and commemorative cultures. This context finds working manifestation in site-specific installations, critical mappings, spatial mixtapes, activist postcards, sound walks and anti-hierarchical conference architectures amongst many other formats.
During her studies of Exhibition Design, Scenography, Curatorial Practice and Media Art at the University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe (HfG), she was a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. In 2022, Vera Gärtner received the Cultural Scholarship of the City of Karlsruhe for her compilative diploma project ffountain. Since 2023 she is an artistic associate in the Exhibition Design and Scenography department at the HfG Karlsruhe.
