Paola Bascón

Paola Bascón is a multidisciplinary artist working between Berlin and La Paz. She studied media art, design, and media philosophy at Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG). Her work can be described as an artistic and performative research around ritual practices, storytelling, and colonial history. In 2020 she was selected to participate in the collective project “Bodies of Resistance” for the residency “Artistic Maneuvers for the Digital Present” at Hebbel am Ufer (HAU), Berlin. Recently, she has developed an audio-walk engaging movement practice around the concept of nature and the body, a co-production of Sasha Waltz & Guests, Berlin Mondiale, and Spreepark. Paola has shown her work in Berlin, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, La Paz, Rio de Janeiro, Karlsruhe, and London.
