Minh Anh Nguyen

Minh Anh Nguyen is an artist and filmmaker born in Germany to former Vietnamese contract workers. From 2016 to 2018 she studied sculpture and video art at the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts. Since 2018 she has been studying media art with a focus on screenwriting and film directing at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.

Her work explores the spaces left by trauma, loss and the unspoken. By blending archival material, fiction and documentary elements, Nguyen seeks to bring to light what is often silenced or forgotten. Through the intertwining of personal histories and performative reenactments, she reflects on the relationship between memory and silence, creating a space where the unseen can be acknowledged and the unspoken given voice.
