Karolina Sobel

Karolina Sobel is an artist and photographer. She holds a Master's degree in Urban Studies (TU Darmstadt), studied social sciences at EHESS in Paris and visual arts at IUAV in Venice. She graduated in Media Art at HfG Karlsruhe in 2019. Her interests include modes of representation of social issues such as identity formation, the process of community building, social exclusion and hierarchies. She uses different media with a documentary approach that blurs the line between fiction and reality. She is a member of the Archive of Public Protest APP in Warsaw and established EMBRACE platform with Kerstin Möller in 2020. Currently Karolina is an academic associate in artistic photography.
