Cécile Kobel

Cécile Kobel received her diploma in communication design from HfG Karlsruhe in 2020 for her graduation performance “At a certain distance” (“Bis hierher und nicht weiter”). As a graphic designer Cécile’s work frequently takes her on detours: she researches, investigates, interviews, cooks, performs and publishes – always looking for a relevant and specific form of expression for her subject matters.

She joined forces with Rana Karan in 2016 and has since been developing visual concepts for clients from art, design, and architecture, as one half of the design duo Karankobel. Since 2021, she has also been working as in-house graphic designer at Volksbühne Berlin.
